Whitewaterescape

About us

Whitewaterescape organizes guided kayak trips in Ecuador. We made it our mission to plan tours and adjust them exactly to the wishes of our guest.

After exploring Ecuador by several month long tours by our one, we now have the knowledge about the rivers and the regions. To ensure a quality tour not only at, but also next  to the river, we work closely with local transport companies, hotels and restaurants.

Markus Bott - Raft Guide and BKV Instructor

Markus Bott

Markus runs kayaking since the early days. Before, during and after his studies to the social-ordinations, he paddled in almost all of Europe from Norway to Corsica. There are also rivers in Nepal and Uganda in his logbook. He knows like the back of his hand South America, especially Ecuador. Sure, he goes above any yet so complicated line.

In the summer, Markus works as a rafting guide in the Ötztal.

Through his years of work as BKV facilitator, he is well trained in guidance, WW rescue and first aid. Markus is certified "whitewater rescue technician - rescue 3 international".

Julian Schäfer - Raft Guide and Kayak Instructor

Julian Schäfer

Also Julian started with kayaking as a young boy. After his training to health and nurses he began to travel the world with his Kayak. During the last years he spent much time in South America. But also in Nepal, Zambia, Uganda and Morocco, much has been paddled.

In the past, Julian has worked at various raft and kayak suppliers on different continents. He is currently working as a rafting guide in Switzerland in the summer.

In addition to several qualifications of the raft, he's trained in WW rescue and first aid.
